The Almighty Sometimes

by KENDALL FEAVER

directed by ROB CROSER

Diagnosed with a severe mental illness as a child, Anna was prescribed a cocktail of pills. Now, as a young adult, she discovers notebooks of amazingly imaginative stories which she wrote as a child. So, she wonders where that creative skill has gone, and what her life might be without the pills, and the labels that have defined her life. Her mother feels compelled to intervene - threatening the fragile balance they’ve both fought so hard to maintain.

Australian playwright, Kendall Feaver now lives and works in the UK. Her extraordinary, beautiful play won the Judges’ Award at the prestigious Bruntwood Playwriting Prize in 2015, and had its world premiere at Manchester’s Royal Exchange Theatre, before going on to productions all over Australia.

The cast of four consists of Mia Livingston-Pearce, Lyn Wilson, Naomi Voortman and Independent Theatre newcomer, Johnathon Montgomery.
