Patrons

Patrons of Independent Theatre Inc (IT) are subscribers who make a greater commitment to the company through an extra financial contribution. Some Patrons are also personally involved by doing "Front of House", providing advice or a service, taking a position on the Committee, painting sets, helping with fundraising, and so on.  Patrons are extraordinarily valued by IT and are considered to be the company's extended family.

Jeanette Drake is the Patrons' Liaison Officer.  She personally looks after Patrons' requests, bookings and information.

PATRON INTRODUCTORY DINNERS

The Patrons' Dinners are a very popular benefit of membership of the Patrons' Programme.  Patrons enjoy a lovely dinner matched with fine wine in the company of fellow theatre lovers. In between courses Artistic Director Rob Croser shares his insights into the play, the playwright's life and all manner of other interesting things - all with Rob's inimitable charisma.

At selected dinners, performers from the Independent Theatre ensemble will read excerpts from the playwright's diaries or other works.  Sometimes they perform extracts from the play... sometimes there is relevant music... always Patrons say that the dinners add immeasurably to their enjoyment of the play.
